Aquarev’Plus counts among its guests at the Françoise-d’Aubigné show, Cao Bei-An, watercolor painter. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Sanghaï (China) in 1984, he now teaches his art at the watercolor school of Namur (Belgium).

Painting a tree according to the season, a river in front of a castle or a portrait, all subjects are excuses to discover his techniques for capturing the light and the magic of the place. With his paintings, the artist takes the viewer into a world of poetry, where some tunes from China can sometimes be mixed.

Collective demonstration, Sunday

Cao Bei-An will be accompanied by his wife, Wen Ming-Xin, also a watercolourist. She has exhibited her works at the Printemps de l’aquarelle in Namur, and has participated in numerous exhibitions in France. This portraitist creates numerous freeze frames in pencil or watercolour, continuing at her own pace her research into the alchemy of water and pigment.

Cao Bei-An will give a collective watercolor demonstration on Sunday, July 7, 2024, with about ten other artists, a moment that will certainly be captivating and enriching for spectators who are somewhat new to this field. He also offers one-day courses on July 8 and 9 for Aquarev’Plus members, in order to deepen their techniques and complete their knowledge.

Salon Françoise-d’Aubigné, from July 6 to 7, Espace Agrippa-d’Aubigné in Saint-Gelais, weekends from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Opening on July 6 at 6 p.m. Free admission and demonstrations. Information: aquarevplus.fr
