A shooting broke out during a marriage organized at Thionville (Moselle) on the night of Saturday June 29 to Sunday June 30, 2024.

An initial report stated that one person had died and five were injured. But on Monday, July 1, the Interregional Specialized Jurisdiction (JIRS) of Nancy announced that one of the injured people had finally died. deceased.

Hospitalized in absolute emergency, a second victim died

In a press release issued on Monday, July 1, the JIRS announced: “One of the victims of the shootings that occurred in Thionville during the night from Saturday to Sunday, hospitalized yesterday in a state of absolute emergency, is died today. This brings the number of deaths following the shootings to two.

Regarding the injured, two other victims had initially been hospitalized in a state of absolute emergency. According to the JIRS, their vital prognosis is no longer engaged.

“Heavily armed” men opened fire

As a reminder, the events took place at the Eden Palace during the organization of a wedding. About a hundred people were on the scene.
