On July 1, 2011, Prince Albert and Charlene of Monaco said “oui”a little over a decade after they met. After thirteen years of marriage and having experienced storms, the parents of Jacques and Gabriella, 9 years old, are still together. To testify to their unwavering complicity, the princely palace shared a tender photo on social networks. In the photo signed, like last year, by Eric Mathon posted on Instagram, the lovers look at each other with kindness and a smile. Prince Albert puts his hand on his wife’s back. A tender gesture filled with love. In the center, their daughter Gabriella appears from behind.

“Happy wedding anniversary to Their Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene”, we can read in the caption. Among their 86,400 subscribers, some took the time to post their wishes for happiness in comments. “A very happy wedding anniversary to their Highnesses, full of happiness for the princely couple”, reacted a fan of the couple. A few days ago, on June 27, Albert and Charlène of Monaco appeared hand in hand during the presentation of the athletes chosen to represent Monaco at the Paris Olympic Games a month later. Today everything seems to be going well, but it wasn’t always so easy.

This wedding anniversary missed by Charlène for health reasons

While this year the couple is reunited to celebrate their 13th wedding anniversary, three years ago, Charlene of Monaco was stuck in South Africa for health reasons. She was therefore unable to celebrate her 10th wedding anniversary with Albert. “This year will be the first time I will not be with my husband for our anniversary in July, which is difficult and saddens me. However, Albert and I had no choice but to follow the instructions of the medical team even though it is extremely difficult”the princess explained in a press release in 2021. “My daily conversations with Albert and my children help me a lot to keep my spirits up, but I miss being with them”added the one who has since made up for lost time.
