Planting workshop in Bagnolet on Tuesday July 9: open to everyone.

The greening of the Pôle Gallieni is part of the overall project to transform the Porte de Bagnolet-Gallieni.
The objective is to reinforce the plant presence in the daily life of the residents of the district and users of the RATP station, pending the overall redevelopment of the sector. Planting plants in public spaces, in planters and corten containers, helps develop local biodiversity, creates plant continuity with Jean Moulin Park, as well as beautifying and refreshing a very concrete neighborhood .
Participatory planting workshops were organized with residents on May 15, 2024 at the level of the flowerbeds located along Rue Robespierre, between the Gallieni pole and the entrance to the Jean-Moulin-Les Guilands park. The objective of these workshops was to plant the six trees newly planted by Est Ensemble as part of its “Tree Plan”, to beautify and refresh the area and contribute to the development of biodiversity.
The first workshop took place in the morning with the children from the leisure center of the Paul Langevin elementary school, located in the south of Bagnolet. The landscapers from the Coloco agency, in charge of the site, first showed the children how to recognize the different plants. At the end of this educational time, the children moved on to practical work by planting different types of plants in the tree holes. They were all very diligent, conscientious and very happy to get their hands in the ground. At the start of the afternoon, residents supported as part of the zero unemployment scheme also got their hands dirty by planting shrubs.
Tuesday July 9, 2024 from 18:00 will be organized a new planting workshop with the residents of Bagnolet for the reinforcement of the plantations in the wooden containers at the bus station of the Gallieni hub. The workshop will take place in the presence of Tony di Martino, Mayor of Bagnolet, Cédric Pape, 1is Deputy in charge of planning and urban development and Nicolas Bonnenfant, founder and co-manager of the Coloco landscape agency. Workshop schedule:
– 6:00 p.m. > 7:00 p.m. Participatory planting with residents
– 7:00 p.m. > 7:30 p.m. Word from the elected officials
– 7:30 p.m. > 8:00 p.m. Additional planting time if necessary
