The Parisian industrial start-up Verso Energy will install a large factory in the Vosges, on the Chavelot eco-park. It will develop a new project for the production of synthetic fuel for aviation. An investment estimated at 1 billion euros.
The Chavelot eco-park appeals to businesses. After the Soler group which decided to invest 100 million euros to produce biocarbon, it is now the Parisian start-up Verso Energy which will set up in the ecopark, opposite the Norske Skog Golbey paper mill.
The company is already established in Moselle. Verso Energy wants to install a sustainable aviation fuel plant there. It acquired 21.5 hectares of the Chavelot ecopark.
Verso Energy will begin work in 2027 and this factory will be able to begin production in 2029. A total investment estimated at 1 billion euros. The result is 120 direct and 180 indirect jobs.
