Bedford Metals Completes Satellite Study of Ubiquity Lake Uranium Project

Bedford Metals Corp. announced the completion and evaluation of its Visible Near Field Infrared (VNIR) and Shortwave Infrared (SWIR) satellite survey at the Ubiquity Lake uranium project, just south of the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. The statistical analysis, led by Neil Pendock, doctor of applied mathematics, made it possible to identify several key indicators for uranium mineralization.

The study revealed anomalous emissions of helium and methane, the latter interpreted as altered clays, particularly illite. At Ubiquity Lake, the primary target zone (TZ1) is a 3.6 km northwest-trending fault at an approximately 90-degree angle to the Cable Shear Fault. The satellite survey identified a large but well-defined methane anomaly, strongly correlated with the ZT1 footprint.

Methane is a marker of illite, which forms through hydrothermal alteration – the primary mechanism responsible for uranium deposition in the Athabasca Basin region. Additionally, the survey revealed multiple highly anomalous helium blooms above TZ1 and other prospective areas, with the strongest intensities observed near radioactive block fields.

These boulder fields have been identified and confirmed by numerous prospecting surveys. Like radon, helium is a first-order decay product of uranium, and its presence is strongly correlated with uranium deposits. Bedford is committed to conducting all its exploration activities in compliance with the highest environmental standards.

The company is committed to minimizing its environmental footprint and ensuring that all its activities are sustainable and responsible. Additionally, Bedford values its relationships with local communities and indigenous groups and is committed to working collaboratively to ensure its activities benefit these stakeholders. Peter Born, P.Geo., is the Designated Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101 and the President of the Company. He is responsible for the technical information contained in this press release and has approved it.
