The comings and goings of coaches seem to have come to an end in Ligue 1. While Franck Haise left RC Lens to join OGC Nice after the departure of Francesco Farioli, the latter was replaced by Will Still, who had just arrived from Stade de Reims. The Reims position was therefore free as a bird before Luka Elsner left Le Havre to go to Champagne. The oldest club was therefore in a difficult position without any technician on board, at least until today. Indeed, HAC has just officially announced the arrival of Didier Digard on the Normandy bench. Freshly graduated from the BEPF, the former interim manager of OGC Nice is therefore back on the bench after having performed well with the Aiglons during the last six months of the 2022-2023 season and was at the head of the Nice Elite Group this season.

Digard, savior of HAC

“He has just signed a two-year contract: Didier Digard is the new coach of the Hacmen! Arriving from OGC Nice, where he was responsible for the elite group after coaching the Aiglons in Ligue 1 from January to June 2023, the man who has just obtained his BEPF is returning to breathe the air of Le Havre” writes Le Havre in its press release. As a reminder, in only 25 matches at the head of Nice for his first experience as head coach, Didier Digard had obtained twelve victories for eight draws and only five defeats.

As a supporter of En Avant de Guingamp, the best of the Breton clubs, I prefer to meet Yannis Salibur, Cristophe Kerbrat or Jeremy Sorbon rather than Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi or Sergio Ramos.
