It’s easy to use and, above all, very practical. Provided you have a smartphone, from Monday July 8, 2024, you will be able to plan your route and follow your bus in real time, in Dreux and in the Drou region, thanks to the Transit application launched by the transport company Keolis.

Illiès, 16, wasted no time downloading the application launched by the transporter Keolis. And his impression is more than favorable: “I think it’s great!”, he exults, on this Friday, June 28.

Redesigned bus lines in Dreux and the Agglomerate

Transit is the name of this application, similar to the one used by Parisian transport users. “It is a national application that each Keolis network, in this case, that of Dreux and Drouais, adapts according to its specificities”, explain Jean-François Beaurain, operational director of Keolis Drouais, and David Nikiema, head of marketing.

Already downloadable by users, it will actually come into operation on Monday, July 8. In concrete terms, it will allow regular or occasional customers of the Agglo’s Linead network to assess, with great precision, the most appropriate bus route they should take from their point of departure to their point of arrival.

Also applicable to the entire rural sector

The application will tell them where the nearest bus stop is, how long it will take to get there on foot, and the bus schedule in real time. Better still, in the event of an anomaly on a line (roadworks, accidents, diversions, etc.), the user will be immediately notified of the delay.

The application will also be operational across the entire rural sector covered by Keolis.

“A resident of Fessanvilliers who needs to go to Dreux will obtain, with the same details, the plan of his journey and his journey time, by bus and on foot.”

David Nikiema (marketing manager at Keolis Dreux)

The Transit application is not limited to the Agglomeration bus network alone. It will also take into account other transport networks: Rémi, Nomad, Transiliens and TER.

“For example, a resident of Dreux who wants to go to Versailles or Orléans will have a complete view of their journey: the time it takes them on foot to reach their bus stop, the time the vehicle arrives, the waiting time at the station, the time of their train and, on arrival, the journey they have left to do according to the means of transport available on site,” says David Nikiema.

School transport: register before July 31 to pay less

The application will also be active, at the start of the school year in September, on the entire school bus network. Parents will be able to follow the journey of their children’s bus in real time. To do this, antennas, capable of capturing all Internet networks, are currently being installed on the vehicles.

Practical. To download the Transit application, active from July 8 in Dreux, simply use Google Play Store. All explanations are given on the Linead Dreux website.

IN NUMBERS.

35 vehicles make up the fleet of the Keolis transport company in Dreux: thirty buses, an electric minibus and four nine-seater vehicles assigned to on-demand transport. In addition to this, there are 86 coaches dedicated to school transport.
9 lines are in service throughout the Agglo and its Linead network. Lines 1 to 4 cover Dreux, Vernouillet and Luray. Lines 5 to 9 are those that provide service to rural communities.
1.600.000 voyages were counted in 2023, just on the urban network. That is 150,000 more compared to 2022. After the Covid crisis, users are regaining a sense of community.
