A tidal wave, a surge, there is no shortage of superlatives to describe the scale of the RN’s victory on Sunday, June 30. The key to this was many successes for the far-right party on the evening of June 1.is tour, a historic first. In certain territories, it easily exceeds 50%.
Party headliners easily re-elected
In a context of strong participation, several headliners of the RN were elected this evening at the Palais Bourbon. This is particularly the case of Marine Le Penpresident of the group in the Assembly, re-elected in the 11e Pas-de-Calais constituency with 58.04% of the votes cast. His colleague, vice-president of the hemicycle, Sébastien Chenuwas also very widely elected (58.34%).
In the 2e constituency of Oise, the former journalist of LCI, Philippe Ballardwas also re-elected on 1is tower with 53.2% of the vote. Another party executive and regional councilor of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Julien Odoul is re-elected in 3e Yonne constituency by 50.44% of voters. Election also at 1is tour for the very media Laure Lavalette et Edwige Diaz (also vice-president of the RN), respectively elected in the 2e constituency of Var and 11e Gironde constituency.
Plebiscite in Aisne, Pas-de-Calais and Var
In the 20th district, it is not so much the election of Guillaume Forquinalmost unknown in political life, which constitutes a surprise, but rather a defeat from the 1is turn of the outgoing deputy, Fabien Roussel, head of the Communist Party (PCF).
Beyond these party executives, there are certain territories which are turning navy blue. The RN thus wins 4 of the 5 constituencies of theAisne from the 1stis round, and finds himself in an extremely favorable position in the other. In the Pas-de-Calaisthe far-right party wins half of the constituencies in the territory (6 out of 12) from the 1stis tour.
Tidal wave also in the Waswhere the RN won 5 of the 8 constituencies of department 83 from 1is tour, and is well ahead among all the others.
