Tarascon – Tarasque Festivals

Every year in June, the Tarasque Festival invites us to (re)discover Tarascon, its legends and its great characters including life at the time of the good King René, thanks to the medieval associations that bring the castle to life throughout the weekend. During the festivities, you can notably find the Course de la Tarasque which gives rise to a popular festival to share with the family, but also Tartarin de Tarascon which always offers a very warm welcome or the Grand parade of the Tarasque. For several years, the Tarasque Festivals have thus tried to reconnect with their origins through the reinstatement of the procession of Sainte-Marthe, liturgical activities and the medieval banquet.
