Quite a few changes on PostBus lines in the canton of Neuchâtel with the entry into force of the new public transport timetable on December 15. The main modifications concern the Boudry and Gorgier sector, i.e. lines 612, 613 and 640. Ben Zürcher, spokesperson for CarPostal, explains that the company is carrying out a “complete overhaul of the routes to guarantee better connections on the CFF trains and the TransN Littorail. » PostBus will also introduce a 3e vehicle to Val-de-Ruz and slightly modify the timetables on line 424 and introduce a stop at SCAN, in Malvilliers.

Another change concerns line 380 and the elimination of connections with Le Locle station. A decision taken by the Canton of Neuchâtel. “The majority of customers on this line travel to and from Neuchâtel station. »

Other changes will come into effect at Gorgier and Boudry. On line 612 (Gorgier – Saint-Aubin – Boudry – Cortaillod), which is used quite a bit by students from the Cerisiers college, systematic passages are planned by Cortaillod. There will also be “a better connection for Cortaillod users with CFF trains to Boudry. »

Due to the closure of Vaumarcus station, CarPostal “has almost doubled its services with a loop service. » The aim being to guarantee connections every hour between Vaumarcus and Gorgier-Saint-Aubin station. »

To fulfill its new missions, CarPostal will hire between five and ten drivers. They will be based at the Gorgier garage in Saint-Aubin. /sma
