Tarascon – Tarasque Festivals
Every year in June, the Tarasque Festival invites us to (re)discover Tarascon, its legends and its great characters including life at the time of the good King René, thanks to the medieval associations that bring the castle to life throughout the weekend. During the festivities, you can notably find the Course de la Tarasque which gives rise to a popular festival to share with the family, but also Tartarin de Tarascon which always offers a very warm welcome or the Grand parade of the Tarasque. For several years, the Tarasque Festivals have thus tried to reconnect with their origins through the reinstatement of the procession of Sainte-Marthe, liturgical activities and the medieval banquet. Cassis – Mapping of the castle cliff: “The sea and its abysses”
This large-scale show offers you an immersion in the essential element that shapes the landscape and identity of Cassis: the sea. Through the story of a diver Cassiden, passionate about the sea and his village, who tells you about his attachment to the Calanques and his passion for diving, you find yourself immersed in the mysterious underwater worlds to which the general public does not usually have access… Witness the magic of this show facing the cliff of the castle which will be transformed, as every year, into a spectacular theater of images, sounds and emotions.
