Some 47,000 homes remain without electricity this Saturday morning, mainly in Normandy and the Pays de la Loire, after the passage of the Caetano storm the day before, announced the electricity network manager Enedis.
“This morning at 8:00 a.m., there are still 47,000 customers without power. More than 80% of customers who had been deprived of electricity have been replenished”underlined Enedis in a press release. The number of homes without electricity, which had risen “up to 270,000 during the night from Thursday to Friday”was only 75,000 Friday evening, according to a previous report.
Saturday morning, the regions most affected by power outages are “Normandy (19,000) and Pays de la Loire (14,000)”detailed Enedis.
2,200 technicians and 400 service providers
The company “aims to restore power to 95% of customers affected by the storm by this (Saturday) evening and the rest on Sunday evening”she added mid-morning.
The manager recalled having mobilized in advance 2,200 of his technicians and 400 service providers, specifying that these “have been mobilized for repairs since the travel safety conditions have been met”after this first snowy episode of the season, during which winds blew up to 130 km/h.
