The taxi protests caused 10 kilometers of traffic jams on the RN31, in Oise. According to Actu.frthe national road leading from Bresles to Beauvais was blocked Thursday morning.
Very early on, taxi drivers began their movement by blocking traffic. Several dozen of them wanted to show their disagreement regarding the announcement of the reduction in reimbursement for medical transport.
40% less turnover for taxis
This measure would, according to them, lead to the “progressive impoverishment” of their profession, because it would represent losses of 40% in turnover. At the start of the afternoon, Bison-Futé still indicated traffic jams stretching over a distance of 10.7 km. The Oise prefecture mentioned “traffic difficulties at the Haut Villé roundabout in Beauvais”.
More precisely, the protesting taxi drivers had blocked exit 15 of the A16, in Beauvais Nord. The RN31 was diverted near the town of Bresles, which caused significant slowdowns. If the movement continues, consult the traffic information in order to anticipate traffic jams and exit earlier (exit 14 of the motorway for example).
