A 63-year-old woman, residing in Mende (Lozère)was the victim of an extremely violent attack on the night of Wednesday November 20 to Thursday November 21, 2024. The events took place in the city center, in his house which also serves as a shelter for young people in difficulty.
A burglary that turns into a nightmare in Lozère
According to the first elements of the investigation revealed by France Bleu, three individuals broke into the victim's home with the aim of committing theft. Inside, the sixty-year-old was hosting two teenagers, a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, each in their room at the time of the incident.
Taking advantage of the situation, the criminals beat the owner of the place, before rape in a meeting. The victim, seriously injured, presented a swollen face following the attack.
The alert given by a teenager
It was one of the teenagers staying in the house who alerted the police once the attackers left. The scientific police went to the site the next day to take samples and collect clues to identify the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
Two suspects arrested, a third on the run
Among the three suspects, two have already been identified. The first is an adult man without a fixed address, which was referred to the Nîmes public prosecutor's office, competent in this matter. The second, a 16 year old teenageris also in police custody. As for the third individual, he is still on the runand the police are actively continuing the search to find him.
An ongoing investigation
The Nîmes parquet was seized and is supervising the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
