100% solidarity. Every year, during the last weekend of November and as the winter period approaches, the 79 Food Banks of France mobilize together for three days for the Great National Collection. The Food Bank of Toulouse and its Region, which serves the departments of the Haute-Garonne (31)Tarn-et-Garonne (82) and Ariège (09) is therefore part of the list of 79 participating banks.
The objective of this event? Collect food and hygiene products directly from individuals at collection points such as supermarkets and local grocery stores. In 2023, 120 stores participated in these three departments, thus representing a collection of 175 tonnes of products.

Ce XXL pickup is thus an opportunity for everyone to be able to give and participate at their own level in a surge of national solidarity. In Haute-Garonne, either in Toulouse and its surroundings, 124 collection points are set up thanks to the help of thousands of volunteers in orange vests, nine of whom are located in the very center of the Pink City. In addition to three in Tarn-et-Garonne and four in Ariège. Thus, in 2024, 131 businesses are playing the game.
