Storm Caetano, which caused major chaos in the country, is leaving French territory. No longer is any department on orange “snow-ice” alert, Friday November 22 at midday. Météo-France, however, warns of a risk of icy formation due to refreezing, because “temperatures will return below 0°C from Normandy to the North-East” during the night from Friday to Saturday. A “redoux” is however expected from Saturday, according to the forecaster.
The temperatures will be “clearly increasing”especially in the afternoon. Maximums ranging from 8 to 12°C are expected from the Alps to the North-East and Normandy. The mercury could rise between 12°C and 16°C from Brittany to the South-West and the Mediterranean, “with peaks of nearly 20°C at the foot of the Pyrenees and in Corsica”.

Sweetness will also be on the program for Sunday. In the South, Météo-France forecasts 20°C in Perpignan on Sunday afternoon, 19°C in Biarritz and Tarbes, 18°C in Ajaccio and even 16°C in Marseille. In the West, count on 15°C for Brest, Rennes and La Rochelle, and 16°C in Cherbourg and Bordeaux. Further to the East and in the North, it will be 13°C in Strasbourg, Lille and Paris, 14°C in Metz, Chaumont and Amiens. Up to 17°C is expected in Auxerre and Vichy and 18°C in Bourges and Limoges.
