The second edition of the Salon Origine Auvergne will be held from November 22 to 24.
Cantal is present on 240 m2 with around forty exhibitors focusing on gastronomy, tourism and crafts.
A real opportunity for Cantal which has made attractiveness one of its priorities. Bruno Avignon, Director General of the “Cantal Destination” Agency:
“There weren't that many of us who thought about going to sell Auvergne to the Auvergne and Clermont residents because that's the target and this show was going to work and indeed the organizer took the gamble and from the first year, there were lots of people, we came close to 20,000 people and above all visitors came to buy!
7 artisans from Cantal on site….
Isabelle Desplanches based in Aurillac created her brand Arverne Familly last summer, an online store; arvernefamily.com.
It offers T-shirts, sweatshirts, bags, clutches and other fashion accessories. Its first collection is called “Amour Auvergne”.
“It's very important for me. I think that this Auvergne entity is magical. In fact, I think it's something that can really bring us all together, even if officially it no longer exists, in any case politically… I think that in our hearts, in our culture, it still exists in a very strong way. So indeed, the Auvergne origin fair is a way of meeting the people of Clermont.
