A musical comedy marked by a taste for adventure on the stage of the Atrium in Dax: for this new stage production, given on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July, Flavie Nicogossian, artistic and musical director of the Chœur en scène des Petits Poly-Songs, has chosen an adaptation of one of the adventures of Sherlock Holmes, “Elementaire mon cher”.

Presented in the form of a musical comedy, created for the first time for amateur teenagers (CREA), taken from the booklet composed by the duo Alyssa Landry and Thierry Boulanger and inspired by the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, this original adaptation allows the fifty young people of the Dax troupe to play detectives.

A nice challenge

If the scenes that are discovered throughout this quest are full of clues, amateur detectives will have to use ingenuity and deploy all their energy to try to unravel the enigma.

We will appreciate the playful exploration of the world of the famous British detective, of these young actors evolving in sets and costumes evoking the London of the Victorian era of the 19th century.e century. As usual, Mamac is the official reciter, the costumes are by Laurence Marchal, the theatrical part is by Marjorie Lupuyo and the choreography was designed by Candice Behlert.

On the music side, Martin Labat-Labourdette is on keyboard, Lucie Magnères on violin and Cédric Gauzère on percussion. For this original immersion in the ingenious world of Sherlock Holmes, two performances are offered on July 3 and 4, at 8:30 p.m.

Ticket office at the tourist office, price 10 euros.
