AC Ajaccio held a public meeting this Saturday morning at the Michel Moretti stadium. In front of an assembly of 200 supporters and season ticket holders, Daniele Bufano, club president, and Jean-Noël Fattaccioli, vice-president, explained the various problems that led the DNCG to announce the relegation of AC Ajaccio to National 1.

For nearly 45 minutes, the supporters present asked questions. Topics covered included financial aspects, the future of the club and the sporting field. The leaders were confident about future developments. The guarantee required by the DNCG should be provided in the coming week.

Another issue raised concerns the shirt sponsor of the season in Ligue 1 who did not respect his contract, causing a significant deficit in the club’s finances. On this point, the club is optimistic because a court decision has been made and the sponsor is now required to settle his financial obligations.

Let’s listen to Daniele Bufano as he leaves this meeting.

Vice-president Jean-Noël Fattaccioli was optimistic about next season, telling a supporter that there was a “10 out of 10 chance” the club would be in Ligue 2 next season.
