The Haitian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this Thursday, November 21, 2024, that it had summoned the French ambassador after comments judged unacceptable
of French President Emmanuel Macron.
In a video filmed on the sidelines of the G20 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and broadcast this Wednesday on social networks, the head of state accused Haitian officials of being “completely stupid”
after the dismissal of Prime Minister Garry Conille by the Haitian presidential transition council on November 10.

In its press release, the Haitian Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that the head of Haitian diplomacy, Jean-Victor Harvel Jean-Baptiste, informed French diplomat Antoine Michon on Thursday afternoon of the indignation of the Transitional Power at what it considers to be an unfriendly and inappropriate gesture which deserves to be rectified
