The TransmiCCIble evening of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place Thursday, November 21 at the Drop in Nîmes. Advisors from the consular chamber took stock of the elements to take into account during a transfer.

The transfer and takeover of businesses was the theme of the TransmiCCIble evening organized recently at the Drop in Nîmes by the Gard Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It brought together more than a hundred people, some wishing to sell their business, others planning a takeover. Many professionals were also present such as accountants, lawyers, notaries, financing organizations as well as advisors from the CCI. “Business transfer is an essential subject for our economy. This is something that you absolutely have to anticipate. There is legitimately a lot of emotion. But it is important to take a step back and return to economic reality,” said Eric Giraudier, the president, in the preamble.

Before giving the floor to the advisors who surround him in his mission, Olivier Gache, the head of the business transfer center, moderator of the round table, mentioned “a complex process which involves many aspects that must be taken into consideration, a process which also requires the support and intervention of external professionals”.

Transmission advisor, Martine Dineur placed herself on the side of the buyers, detailing the actions taken by the consular chamber to support candidates for a takeover. For his part, Maxime Legrand, also a transfer advisor, intervened to raise awareness among sellers of the anticipation necessary for a successful transfer. “Anticipation and support in the transfer is a stage in the life of the company”, he insisted.

Industry advisors, Arnaud Ferry and Eric Olewski made buyers and sellers aware of the state of the company's equipment and its adaptation to the project of the person who is going to acquire it before giving the floor to Priscilla Julien who put the emphasis on environmental criteria and energy costs to which particular attention should be paid.

Digital advisor, Muriel Nivon, said how this element had become essential to guarantee the sustainability of the company: “A digital diagnosis of the company assesses its maturity, identifies its strengths and weaknesses and how to correct them before a sale. This reassures the buyer. »

As for Leila Benali, human resources advisor, she emphasized human capital and its importance in transmission and the need to communicate to share information during a transfer. “The key to efficient transmissionshe emphasized, it’s communication. »
