The town of Montmorency awaits you again this year for the fireworks on July 13, 2024! Popular festival and activities are also on the program for this National Day in Val d’Oise, with the traditional Fête du Boeuf.
This Friday July 14thit is the long awaited National Holiday. An event which, every year, amazes young and old with its military parade at Champs-Elyséesits popular balls and its inevitable fireworksdrawn throughout France. In Île-de-France, many municipalities celebrate the National Day with their own events, on July 13, 14, or both.
And the city of Montmorency don’t deviate from the rule! The city of Val d’Oise celebrates the Storming of the Bastille each year with a very specific program. Because yes, it is only here that you can enjoy the traditional Ox Festivalwhich takes place every year in the town, on July 14.
Celebrations begin on July 13, 2024 with the torchlight march at 9:15 p.m., and lanterns distributed free of charge to children, up to the Nelson Mandela Sports Park, where the fireworks, at 10:45 p.m. A pyrotechnic and musical show that will amaze you, followed by a a dancing parties, to shake your hips until the end of the night for the National Day!
But the festive weekend doesn’t stop there! See you the next day, from 12 noon, for the Beef Festival at Parc de la Serve this time. All afternoon, come and taste the deliciously spit-roasted beef with a gourmet meal tray accompanied by fries. For dessert, enjoy a cherry cake, all for 6 euros! Many musical and gourmet events await you, until 6 p.m.!
