Issy-les-Moulineaux: the on-call medical center reopens its doors after the attack on the young assistant

The Issy-les-Moulineaux on-call medical center reopens its doors this Saturday at noon. The establishment, managed by the departmental association for the organization of permanent care (ADOPDS 92), had been closed since the violent attack on the medical secretary on Tuesday evening.

That evening around 10:15 p.m., a man showed up on the site. Instead of waiting his turn to see a doctor, he allegedly rushed at the 23-year-old assistant, grabbing a pair of scissors. He then allegedly forced her to undress before attempting to rape her. Passersby who heard his cries for help alerted a police crew patrolling the area. The police, who intervened quickly, had to use an electric pulse gun to neutralize the attacker.

Installation of a secure door with videophone under consideration

The following day, ADOPDS closed the facility, which is usually open seven days a week and until midnight, to take additional security measures to better protect its staff. The cylinders on the main door were changed so that it could no longer be locked from the inside. Alarm buttons were also installed under the doctors’ and secretaries’ desks, which directly alert the Corentin-Celton hospital security PC. The secretary’s station also had to be moved to the waiting room. The installation of a secure door with a videophone is also being studied with AP-HP, the owner of the premises.
