Nearly 9,000 homes are still without electricity this Friday, November 22 in the morning, after the passage of the Caetano storm in the region which caused significant damage, particularly in Creuse. The weather should improve in the coming hours to get closer to 20°C this weekend.

Storm Caetano passed through the country, but this Friday morning, 9,000 homes are still without electricity in Limousin. DAccording to the manager Enedis, 4,500 homes are affected in Creuse, 3,500 in Haute-Vienne and 1,000 in Corrèze.
The violent winds caused significant damage, such as here in the town of Dun-le-Palestel where two open buildings suffered from the gusts.
Many trees and utility poles fell on roads in the region.
The wind blew hard in Limousin. Gusts of 117 km/h were recorded at Limoges airport and at Peyrelevade, in Corrèze, during the passage of storm Caetano.
In Creuse, we note 100 km/h in Guéret, 102 km/h in Genouillac or even 106 km/h in Felletin.
The south of Corrèze was the most spared, with readings between 70 and 80 km/h on average.
The weather will be dry this Friday with clearings in the morning. It will be sunny in the afternoon, so there is little risk of frost on Saturday morning, except for places that remain damp.

Treatments were carried out by the departmental services in Corrèze and Creuse. Stay vigilant if you are driving in the area.
As announced by Météo France on Wednesday, a few snowflakes fell on the Creuse during the night from Thursday to Friday. “The quantity is small. The thin film we have this morning will disappear quickly”warns Guy Mollé, forecaster at Météo France Nouvelle-Aquitaine. In the northern regions of France and in Paris, snowfall was more pronounced.
“The weekend will be pleasant”promises Guy Mollé. In Limousin, the weather will be dry, without precipitation and the south wind will raise the thermometers. Saturday morning, the minimums will be between -5°C and 1°C. In the afternoon, it will be between 10 and 14°C.
Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend. Between 0 and 10°C in the morning, then between 15°C, on the Millevaches plateau for example, and 20°C in Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the afternoon. It will be 17°C near Limoges and Guéret.
