Weakened by the great fire of 1720, Saint-Pierre Cathedral was rebuilt from 1787 according to the project of the architect Mathurin Crucy. It measures 48 m.
Tour Sarah-Bernhardt
Built in 1962 by Jean-Yves Deltombe and Jean Lemercier, the Sarah-Bernhardt tower is a marker of the Rennes period of large complexes (see p. XX). Recently renovated, it has 21 floors and is 68 m high and houses 168 housing units.

2 The Horizons
Built in 1970 by Georges Maillols, the twin towers are 99 m high and have 30 floors. They house 480 homes. At the time, it was one of the first French high-rise buildings (IGH) intended for residential use.

3 Le Mabilay
Built in 1973 by Louis Arretche, this building initially dedicated to telecommunications measures 83 m. Today, it houses offices, including the HelloWork headquarters.
Mabilay, in Rennes, houses the headquarters of Poool, the association which manages French Tech Rennes-Saint-Malo. (The Telegram) -
4 The Spur
Built in 1975 by Louis Arretche, L’Éperon dominates the Colombier slab by 94 meters. It has 30 floors and 264 dwellings.

5 Le Chromosome
After the large complexes of the 70s, Rennes is experiencing a new surge in towers in the 2020s. Designed by the architectural firm MILLE, Chromosome is a symbol of this renewal. It rises 58 m above Beauregard for 18 floors and 136 housing units.

6 Samsic Tower
She had to be the icing on the EuroRennes cake. When it was presented in 2018, the future Samsic tower was expected to measure more than 80 m with 26 floors. Enough to lift her to 3rd place on the Rennes height podium. In April, the project leaders announced that it would be planed by 30 m. And lose 16 floors. In question ? The downturn in the real estate market.
