The Meuse is getting ready to experience the magic of the holidays with a multitude of Christmas markets and festive events. From Verdun to Bar-le-Duc via Stenay, the department offers a program rich in festivities for young and old.

Verdun: a magical Christmas village for almost a month

From December 3 to 27, Verdun transforms into a real Christmas village. Avenue de la Victoire will host decorated chalets and arbors, offering a magical atmosphere to visitors. Exhibitors will offer local products, local crafts and original creations.

Extended hours to fully enjoy the festivities:

– Monday to Friday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
– Saturdays and Sundays: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
– Late night on Sunday December 19: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
– Friday December 24: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bar-le-Duc: Saint-Nicolas celebrated with great pomp

The traditional Saint-Nicolas festival, organized by Bar-le-Duc Animations in partnership with the city, promises a dazzling spectacle. On December 6, a magical parade will light up the city center, followed by a speech from Saint Nicholas and fireworks.

Program of festivities:

– 5 p.m.: Magical parade in the city center
– 6:30 p.m.: Speech by Saint-Nicolas from the Town Hall
– 7 p.m.: Fireworks at the Town Hall Park

Stenay and Vignot: friendly Christmas markets

The Stenay Christmas market, scheduled for November 30 and December 1, 2024, will highlight local artisans and producers.

On the program:

– gourmet products, artisanal creations, activities for children and numerous culinary specialties to taste on site.

In Vignot, on December 18, more than 50 exhibitors will come together for a lively Christmas market, with carriage rides, concerts and a Santa Claus parade. These Christmas markets and St. Nicholas Day festivities in the Meuse promise to delight visitors of all ages, offering a unique festive experience at the gateway to Belgium and Luxembourg.
