Strasbourg completes its interior sector with Jordan Skipper-Brown

After securing the services of Brice Dessert and Vitalis Chikoko while retaining Hugo Invernizzi, Strasbourg only had to find a player to complete its recruitment for positions 4 and 5. This has now been done, with the announcement of the arrival of Jordan Skipper-Brown (1.98 m, 26 years old) this Friday afternoon:

Arriving in Europe in the summer of 2022, the American has already known four clubs: two in Belgium – Louvain then Brussels – in 2022-23 and half a season in Slovenia with Polzela before finishing the previous year in the VTB League under the colors of Astana. Described as very athletic (winner of the VTB League dunk competition this season), active and capable of playing both interior positions, he especially stood out during his Slovenian adventure (15.4 points, 9, 7 rebounds, 4.3 assists) in a bottom-of-the-table team.

Also capable of moving away from the circle (nearly 43% three-point success in 2023-24) on a small volume of shots, the 26-year-old presents a complementary profile to Hugo Invernizzi in the power forward position. He will still have to prove himself in a tougher championship than those in which he has shown his advantage so far. A bet that the SIG has the merit of attempting with a player with undeniable qualities and on the upward slope. It remains to be seen whether the latter will pay off.
