The Wednesday November 27, 2024, in the afternoon (between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.), the Lot prefecture is organizing a civil security exercise in order to test the special intervention plan (PPI) of the Séveso SNCF site
French national railway company EIV Quercy-Corrèze of Biars-sur-Cère.
In this context, the Fr-Alert system, as well as the warning sirens of Biars-sur-Cère, Bretenoux and Girac will be activated.
Foperation of Fr-Aclever :
The Fr-Alert system is an alert and information tool which makes it possible to warn, in real time, anyone with a mobile phone of the danger existing nearby and to inform them of the behaviors to adopt to protect themselves.
The principle: If you are in one of the areas affected by imminent danger, you will be able to receive a notification accompanied by a specific sound signal, even if your mobile phone is in silent mode.
Important : As the Fr-Alert message is transmitted via mobile telephone relay antennas, the perimeter of the alerted zone is greater than the perimeter of the danger zone. Consequently, during this exercise, people in the neighboring municipalities of Biars-sur-Cère, Bretenoux and Girac, in particular Gagnac-sur-Cère, Glanes, Cornac, Saint-Michel-Loubéjou, Prudhomat, Tauriac and Puybrun, including those in the Corrèze department (Liourdres and Astaillac), are also likely to receive the exercise alert message.
Note: As part of this exercise, no action should be taken by the population. THIS IS AN EXERCISE.
Le message d’alert ofexercise will appear on mobile phones. He will make it clear that this is an exercise and that no action is expected from people. The message will contain a link towards a questionnaire with the aim of always improving the system.
