Transfer window: He leaves RC Lens and explains!

It’s the end of a beautiful chapter in the life of Franck Haise. The French coach has left RC Lens, the club he joined in 2017 and with whom he has experienced everything. The promotion to Ligue 1, the runner-up position of PSG and the rediscovery of the Champions League marked Franck Haise’s years at Lens. Now a coach at OGC Nice, he explained in a press conference his choice to leave the north for the Côte-d’Azur.

L’OGC Nice has made some big moves in the transfer window. In addition to Florian Maurice, the former sports director of Rennais Stadium, The Aiglons managed to convince Franck Haise to join them after the departure of Francesco Farioli has l’Ajax Amsterdam.

“Changing clubs is always challenging”

Presented to the press this Friday, Franck Haise returned to his choice to join l’OGC Nice : « Because the connections I could have with Fabrice (Bocquet, the general manager), who I already knew, the president (Jean-Pierre Rivère) and the people from the performance department that I knew were fluid. Flo’ (Maurice) also arrived in the project, that’s a lot of elements that convinced me. This alignment between all of us needs to be created, but the first discussions make me think that we will manage to create a real one. Changing clubs is always challenging. I certainly needed to challenge myself. There is no anxiety. It’s rather something hyper positive for me. Afterwards, a football coach, even when he stays in the same club, he always leaves with 0 points the following season. Every season, every week, he has to question himself. »

“I do this job to share, to experience emotions”

« When I started coaching in Lens, it was in Ligue 2. There is no insurance. I’m not looking to have any, continues the former coach of RC Lens. I do this job to share, to experience emotions, to get results – which allows it to last – and not to have guarantees, otherwise I wouldn’t have been on a fixed-term contract for 37 or 38 years. I’m not looking for insurance. »
