Could the Rives de Moselle intercommunity grow with new municipalities?

We are currently seeing this in : the interco map is not set in stone and can change. Is such plate tectonics possible in the Rives de Moselle community of communes? This is the question asked by the president of the La Semaine group, Stéphane Getto, during the political program, Sans Filter, to the president of the intercommunality, Julien Freyburger. For the latter, it is important not to insult the future. Especially since its territory is intended to be attractive for surrounding municipalities, according to him: “We are part of the intermunicipalities which generate applications. We have colleagues who tell us 'We would love to come to Rives de Moselle'. We realize that around and the Eurometropolis, we are an attractive EPCI, as is the Eurometropolis.”

And to continue for the mayor of Maizières-lès-Metz: “Our relations are good with our immediate neighbors. We must think for the future, without confusing speed with haste. Rives de Moselle could, while working with its neighbors, continue on its merry way, without merging. There is a phenomenon to be wary of: the bigger the better. We saw it with the Region drawn on the corner of the table by President Hollande. You have to be open, think, rule out nothing. But if it is to be the umpteenth member of an assembly resembling the Supreme Soviet, the interest is low. I believe that we must not close the door to developments but guard against temporary passions.”
