It was in a house near Auch that the family from Landes found the Pokémon cards. France Bleu reveals that the family was in the process of clearing out the house which is to be transformed into a guest room. It was during this big cleaning that the 10-year-old girl found the Pokémon cards in one of the offices.
The young Tyrolean woman then shows the cards to her big sister who doesn't know much about them, but remembers a report on card collectors. Perrine then begins research and discovers that the cards belong to the first generation released in the 1990s.
“It’s crazy to have found everything like that”
It was a friend of the young woman who put her in touch with a collector. “When I spoke with collectors, they told me: It’s crazy to have found everything like that! “, said Perrine. The whole family therefore sorted and classified the cards before selling them.
The rarest Pokémon cards were sold for 150 euros. In total, the family hopes to obtain nearly 1,000 euros, which will help them renovate the house.
