Industry in Tarn-et-Garonne represents 15% of companies, or around 2,500, for 11% in Occitania (45,000). In October 2024, France travail recorded 120 offers in this sector out of 44 professions: 89 in the basin of Montauban and 31 in the basin of Castelsarrasin.

A week to discover the sector

The aim of industry week is to promote the industry and its professions among the general public and more particularly young people and job seekers, through the organization of various events.

It is also an opportunity to discover a sector of the future that offers exciting, well-paid careers and opportunities to explore internationally.

Several meetings in Tarn-et-Garonne

Ce Tuesday November 19, 2024a meeting of women leaders in the industry in Tarn-et-Garonne in the prefecture: 7 business leadersengineers talk about their journey in the industrial sector to deconstruct stereotypes.

November 20, 2024an event is organized by the greater Montauban at the Montauban Youth Information Center. This action is aimed at young people from the local Mission, from the school of the 2^e luck, from the AFPA “16-18 year old” system.

The Montauban employment service will also present its website with current job offers and will take the opportunity to interact with young people.

November 28, 2024, an Industry Forum is organized by Grand Sud Tarn-et-Garonne in Grisolles, with the aim of promoting the discovery of industry professions and allowing candidates to interact directly with recruiters, training centers and employment partners.

Several activities are planned: escape-game for Grisolles middle school students, presentation of the 3D printer by the ADEN-S association and the exoskeleton by Ergo santé.

Finally, throughout the week, France work/Cap emploi will carry out various actions aimed at beneficiaries of the employment obligation:

• sequence of potential detection in industry professions, animation of a sequence of discovery of professions and recruitment news in the industry sector
• reverse job dating with the Gillis company
• recruitment with the MRS (simulation recruitment method) for the Spherea company on the position of cable fitter
• visit to the Golfech power plant with presentation of the professions.
