The depression named “Caetano” crosses the region this afternoon and this evening. In the north of , snow appeared. In the large southern half, the wind will blow strongly.

A stormy westerly wind is forecast this afternoon, Thursday, November 21 in the Tarn, as the “Caetano” depression passes through, which also brings snowfall and a notable drop in temperatures to the north of France.

For our department, Météo France meteorologists announce a peak in wind intensity between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., with wind gusts of 80 to 90 km/h and locally 100 km/h in the plains and up to 110-120 km/h on the Montagne Noire and the south of the department.

Be careful in gusts

At the start of the night, the wind should gradually weaken but remain quite strong. With the passage of this depression, rains are also expected. Due to the expected gusts, the risk of falling branches, fragile trees and objects is therefore significant. The power supply could also be disrupted in the event of falling electrical cables. The department is placed on yellow alert for the moment.
