In Brittany, as in Normandy and a large western part of France, we woke up to snow this Thursday. A thin layer of snow that had fallen overnight, brought by the Caetano storm. Météo France has placed 33 departments on orange alert for snow and ice and, in the east of the country, we expect up to 20 centimeters of snow in the plains. France Bleu offers you the most beautiful images of this first snowy episode of the season which occurs a little over a month before Christmas.
Brittany
The first snowflakes fell on Ille-et-Vilaine around 6 a.m. The Côtes-d’Armor was also covered with a white film. From Fougères to Saint-Brieuc, via Rennes, the reporters from France Bleu Armorique captured some pretty landscapes.
Normandie
In the Channelseveral centimeters of snow were recorded in places, particularly in the south of the department. In the video below, large snowflakes fall on Valognes station.
In Calvados and Orne, we are expecting up to 10 centimeters of snow according to Météo France forecasts and the flakes were falling heavily from this Thursday morning on the side of Condé-in-Normandy.
Pays-de-la-Loire
In Sartheand in particular at Le Mans, the snow held on the roofs in the morning where, there too, the reporters from France Bleu Maine took beautiful images.
Center-Val de Loire
In the Loiretthe snow began to hold in the morning on the roads, bridges and roofs of Orléans.
Burgundy-Franche Comté
In Burgundy, the expected snowy episode has arrived in Gold Coast late in the morning.
