Pradines Lot Basket is a support club for the U18 Women's Sports Section of the Clément Marot high school in Cahors. Engaged in the Occitanie championship, the highest regional level, the protégés of Magali Escaich and Stéphanie Lucianaz have completed a flawless performance so far and occupy 1st place in their group which includes the clubs of Tarbes, Salies-du- Salat, Grand Armagnac, Auch, Laloubère, Moissac-Castelsarrasin and Ossun. Magali Escaich, the coach, says she is “proud of a serious group, attentive, hard-working and determined”: “The failure in the Occitanie final last June strengthened the state of mind; every week we work to compete as well as possible for the weekend meeting. To date we are undefeated with 6 victories but each match is a physical and mental fight. For the moment the girls are adapting rather well, the experience of this group is felt in these moments and the integration of new players brings the touch of madness that could have been missing. Saturday November 30 we travel to Moissac, last match of the first leg. We hope to qualify for the upper group with a view to playing the final stages at the end of the season, but for now we are keeping our heads on our shoulders, enjoying every moment, working together so as not to regret anything.” As happiness never comes alone, this Wednesday, the UNSS team from the Clément Marot high school, made up mainly of “Ladybugs” from Pradinoises, won the UNSS Academic Tournament in Toulouse by successively beating the teams from Carmaux, Rodez, Laloubère/Tarbes and disposed of Toulouse Elite in the final with a victory of 3 small points. Enough to face the future in the best conditions. Well done to them!
> This weekend: Saturday, various 3×3 tournaments including one at Montat in U13 from 10 a.m.; at Montat, match U13 1 at 1 p.m. against Eauze and U11 2 at 4 p.m. against Grisolles. The U9s will be in Lalbenque for a set from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
