Tried in Saverne (Bas-Rhin) this Thursday, November 14, 2024, for repeatedly hitting his daughter when she was two months old, a 25-year-old father was sentenced to fifteen months in prison, reports L’Alsace . This sentence is accompanied by an obligation of care, a ban on contact with the victims and a withdrawal of parental authority.
Psychological aftereffects
During the hearing, this resident of Obernai admitted to having hit his daughter at least “once or twice a week” and expressed regret. To try to explain his attitude, his lawyer, cited by our colleagues, mentioned anxiety disorders, depression and alcoholism dating back to adolescence.
The little victim, according to the mother's lawyer, still bears the after-effects of this violence: “She freezes as soon as someone raises their voice and gets scared as soon as she sees her dad. »
