A magnificent sporting day for the young athletes of the Stade Villeneuvois athletics to end their season in style.

Nearly fifty girls and boys athletes left on Sunday morning for a decathlon (10 events on the program). In a fiery atmosphere, supervised by dynamic coaches (Jason Corea, Jenifer and Benoît Gourves, Tristan, Sacha Armelle Barella, Vincent Guérin) and motivated parents.

From 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., the athletes competed in the 50 hurdles, 200 m, 50 m, 1,000 m, javelin, discus, long jump, pole vault and high jump, under the eyes of their families and Daniel Macalli, equipment advisor representing the municipality.

The time for rewards is coming for these young people who have, throughout the season, obtained remarkable results.

For the girls’ athletics school, the first is Fetah Yasmine, followed by Annouck Rivière and Olympe Verdière. For theboys’ athletics school, first Adam Azzaoui, second Félix Jouteux and third, Camille Laurant.

In the chicks, first Chloé Laurant, second Sixtine Chabert, third Clémence Tinturier and in the chicks, first Charly Bironeau, second Lucien Jouteux, third Tiago d’Oliviera. A day that ends with a snack offered by the club.

“The season ends for you with great results” announces president Jean-Pierre Schiefer, and he announced that registrations were open, by a simple email to be sent to him.

The season is not over for the older ones who will go to the various national championships in Dax, Redon, Talence, Albi.

The official season will end on July 22 and resume the last week of August with a new track and structure in sight, which will allow the club to train in good conditions and host high-level competitions.
