A kilogram of heroin as well as two kilos of MDMA were seized last week by the Brussels North police zone. Three suspects were then placed under arrest warrant by the investigating judge.
“On November 15, around 3:00 a.m., a police patrol carried out a check on a Peugeot registered in France. The driver, unknown to the police, was in possession of several bottles of nitrous oxide.”explains the police zone. When the police opened the trunk of the vehicle, they also discovered three plastic bags containing a large quantity of white powder.
The driver voluntarily went to the police station to carry out tests to identify the white powder, which turned out to be heroin and MDMA. The vehicle was seized.
In view of the results, police officers from the Brussels North zone carried out a flagrant search in the hotel room of the individual. On site, the police discovered two other people who occupied the room with the incriminated driver. During the search, the police also seized 12 grams of various narcotics, 27 ecstasy pills, several telephones as well as 1,750 euros in cash.
The three suspects were deprived of their liberty and made available to the prosecution. An investigating judge was seized of the charge of possession of narcotics in association with a view to sale. “The three suspects were placed under arrest warrant by the investigating judge”he concluded at the policy areas.
