Trail de l’Antenna in Mayet: registrations are already open | Le Courrier

Registration for the 6th edition of the Trail de l’Antenne, which will take place on Sunday, September 15, 2024, is open.

“Last year, we changed our routes: departure from the city center, passage at the foot of the antenna on the 21 km, passage in the Mayet nursing home for each of the routes… This year new things are planned again », announces the Vigilante Mayet Athleticsorganizer of the event.

The 21 km will remain similar with 272 m of elevation gain and more than 85% paths or undergrowth with incursions into the Bercé forest.

The 10 km becomes a 12

“At the end of the trail we carried out a satisfaction survey to identify things to improve. We had a lot of very positive feedback on the 21 km. On the other hand, on our 10 km many returns deplored too much road presence. We have taken these comments into consideration and are proposing a new route this year.”

So, for this 6th edition, a 12 km will be offered to runners. The route goes all the way to the Bercé forest, only 3 km of asphalt will be covered in the heart of the town before having fun on a course offering 201 m of positive elevation gain.

5 km run

“This year we will also offer a short distance: a 5 km marche/course open to all. In the form of a bullfight and therefore 100% asphalt, it will be accessible to both seasoned runners wishing to achieve speed and PMR or families ».

“Last year, we had to face a wild unpacking. This malicious act routed many runners, particularly in the 10 km, and endangered many participants,” recall the organizers.
