Camille has not given any sign of life since June 17. When she had to go to college, a stranger said he dropped her off at the station, but no one has seen her since. A call for witnesses has been launched.

Her relatives are incredulous, but above all, they are worried. Camille, 15, living in Saint-André-Farivillers, in Oise, has been missing since Monday, June 17, in very mysterious circumstances.

That day, she had to go, like every day of the week, to Froissy college, where she was enrolled, but her parents received a call in the morning from the management to tell them that their daughter was not present in class. For the family, it’s incomprehension, but a year earlier, they had already received a similar call, as recounted The Beauvais ObserverThe young girl had then skipped class to go shopping with a friend, but went to the police station after her trip, overcome by fear.

Dropped off at Beauvais station

Only this time, the teenager has been gone for over a week. “Between a day and a week of disappearance, it’s nothing like that, a lot of things can happen,” these relatives worry to our colleagues. Especially since the scenario of this unexpected departure does not inspire optimism. When they returned home on Monday, June 17 after the call from the school, they discovered that Camille had left behind all her most important personal belongings: cell phone, papers, etc.

A few hours later, a man from the town came to their house, the parents say. He allegedly explained having taken the young girl to Beauvais station at her request and having paid her a train ticket to the town of Creil. The parents of the missing woman, in the company of this mysterious driver, will together report the disappearance to the gendarmerie.

Since then, the Beauvais public prosecutor has opened a judicial investigation for “worrying disappearance” according to the local media. And this Wednesday, June 26, an appeal for witnesses was launched by the Oise gendarmerie on social networks. It mentions the “runaway” of “Camille Debarbieux, born February 26, 2009 in Beauvais”. “Caucasian type, slim build, 1m70 tall, with black hair and blue eyes, Camille was dropped off on Monday, June 17, 2024 around 9:30 a.m. at Beauvais train station and has not been heard from since,” it is specified.
