A 61-year-old man was killed by a knife on Saturday evening shortly before 9 p.m. in Béziers (Hérault), franceinfo learned on Sunday December 1 from a source close to the case and confirmed by the Béziers prosecutor. The magistrate, who visited the site, adds that a 22-year-old woman, the victim's next door neighbor, is currently in police custody for “murder”.
According to the first elements of the investigation, emergency services intervened in a building in the city center to try to resuscitate the injured victim. “with a stab wound to the neck and lying in his apartment”indicates the prosecutor.

The victim's next door neighbor was arrested in the street by police officers near the building. “She was covered in blood and accompanied by her six-year-old daughter. Both had no trace of injuries but they were taken to Béziers hospital”indicates the prosecutor.
The little girl was hospitalized in pediatrics, her mother was taken into custody on suspicion of murder at the Béziers police station. “The first observations were made by the scientific police from the Béziers police station and the Montpellier SIPJ”specifies Raphaël Balland, the Béziers prosecutor. “The investigations are currently entrusted to the Béziers police station in order to establish the course of the facts and their circumstances.”
