A 28-year-old man was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention in Tours (Indre-et-Loire) at the beginning of November. He is suspected of having assaulted his 3-month-old baby, who was hospitalized in critical condition.
A serious case of domestic violence. A 28-year-old father, suspected of violence against his 3-month-old baby, was arrested and then indicted in Tours (Indre-et-Loire). He was placed in pre-trial detention by the prosecution on November 8, reports The New Republic.
The baby still in serious condition
It all started with an emergency intervention at the family home in Esvres-sur-Indre for a seriously injured infant. “It was the medical team, once the baby was taken care of, who found the injuries abnormally serious and raised the alarm,” specifies a judicial source.
The infant was in stable but still critical condition in mid-November. The investigation entrusted to the gendarmes must determine the nature and circumstances of the violence. For his part, the suspect will be presented at the courthouse on Thursday, November 21, to contest his pre-trial detention.
