A worrying and perhaps dangerous profile. A 27-year-old man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, after pursuing and sexually assaulting two young women, aged 16 and 29.
It was 12:30 p.m. this Tuesday, November 19 near the Crimea metro station when this teenager was followed by a man who grabbed her by the arm. Then he kisses her neck and touches her buttocks. She manages to escape from him and take refuge in the lobby of her building by asking a worker for help. He, accompanied by another witness, intervenes. Both try to keep the suspect there. But the latter finally manages to escape from them before the arrival of the police.
Two hours later, a new call for help reached the police. The same man is implicated. This time, it is a slightly older woman who is targeted. She explains that she was followed by the disturbing character outside the door of her building. He allegedly tried to push her in order to enter the building. She managed to resist and her attacker finally fled without achieving his goals.
All patrols in the sector are then alerted and mobilized to find the perpetrator of these attacks. His report is broadcast on all devices. At 4:18 p.m., a local crew spotted the suspect and arrested him on MacDonald Boulevard. One of the victims recognizes him on a photographic board. The young man, who lives in the neighborhood, is already known to the police.
The minor victim filed a complaint. The suspect was taken into custody at the police station. Above all, he had to undergo a behavioral examination before being interviewed. The Paris public prosecutor's office, contacted about the follow-up it intended to give to this matter, has not yet responded to our requests.
