The police were mobilized in Mitry-Mory (Seine-et-Marne) this Tuesday, November 19, 2024. The events took place around 10:50 p.m. at rue Jean-Caille in the station area when a victim reported to the police station Villeparisis getting gassed and then having his phone stolen portable by an individual.
A homeless person known to the police
Once the report was made, a patrol was dispatched to the site and searches were carried out at the level of Mitry-Mory station.
A crew eventually spotted the thief straddling the station gantries. The police managed to catch up with him and arrest him. The man recognizes the facts, but is no longer in possession of the phone. The accused, aged 26, is a homeless person known to the police. He was taken into custody.
For his part, the victim did not wish to be seen by the firefighters and decided to file a complaint.
