While Toulouse was designated “City of Music” in October 2023, the Toulouse Festival returns from June 29 to July 13, 2024 to honor this title. On the program, exceptional concerts, like this tribute to Saint-Exupéry carried by Ibrahim Maalouf and the Orchester du Capitole. [Partenariat]

Between classical music, jazz, pop and blues, the 3th edition of the Toulouse Festival promises vibrant concerts with “tailor-made” creations designed in conjunction with the guest artists.

Among them, the carte blanche to Ibrahim Maalouf and the Orchestre national du Capitole will certainly make an impression!

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the death of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, who died on July 31, 1944 during an aerial reconnaissance mission, Ibrahim Maalouf is surrounded by the Orchestre national du Capitole and the Choir HAS Breathless for a musical tribute to the famous aviator and author of The Little Prince.

Even today, the imprint of the poet known for his humanism remains throughout the world and the Pink City, capital of aeronautics and cradle of Aéropostale. At the bend of a statue exhibited in the Royal Garden, on the Piste des Géants in Montaudran or even at the Flight of the Pioneers…

It was therefore obvious that the Toulouse Festival would dedicate one of its creations to the father of the Little Prince in the year of the 80th anniversary of his death. Because, let us remember, the Little Prince, with its 200 million copies sold worldwide, is none other than the most translated work in the world after the Bible!

Meet at Théâtre de la Cité, Thursday July 4 and Friday July 5 at 9 p.m. for this tribute concert in partnership with the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Foundation.

This new edition of the Toulouse Festival has some great surprises in store for you!

With the concert “Eastwood by Eastwood”, it is the tribute of a son (Kyle – great jazz double bassist) to his father (Clint – actor, director and musician).
