Initially scheduled for October 2024 then postponed to spring 2025 due to a “too crowded calendar”, the Boat show in Seine will ultimately not take place at all. The announcement was made by the Fédération des Industries Nautiques (FIN) on Tuesday November 19, 2024.

“The situation has changed in one year”

The FIN made this decision “considering that the current market context no longer allows the French sector to guarantee the full success of a first edition. »

If everything had gone as planned, 250 professionals would have moored at the Legrand port and the Île-de-Monsieur nautical park and to present their products and know-how to visitors.

Everything had been prepared in advance both “with the State services in terms of administrative authorizations and with our territorial partners”, explains Fabrice LacoumePresident of the FIN exhibition commission.

Despite this work “the situation has changed in one year, market instability due to external economic factors has impacted our prospects and weakened the project,” he continues. “The pre-marketing phase launched in recent months does not allow us to continue the development of this new show in a calm manner. »
