Breaking and entering in Beauce: two suspects wanted for armed assault

Two individuals who broke into the apartment of a Saint-Éphrem man to attack him are currently wanted by the authorities.

The armed attack occurred around 9 p.m. in a home on Route 271 North. The victim, aged in his thirties, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) claims that a bladed weapon was used in this case, although its nature has not been revealed. Gunshots could have been heard, according to our information, but “this has not yet been confirmed” by the SQ.

“The two suspects fled, possibly in a vehicle. There have been no arrests in this case for the moment,” indicates Béatrice Dorsainville, spokesperson for the police force.

The SQ’s Forensic Identification Service and investigators from the Major Crimes Unit went to the scene Wednesday morning to analyze the scene.

We also emphasize that it is too early to make a link with the drug war which has been raging throughout Quebec for several months.
