Vannes welcomes two new ships to the Navix fleet

The Mor Braz and the Gwen Have You. These are the names of the two new additions to the Navix company, who will set sail from Vannes (Morbihan), starting this Friday, June 28, 2024.

The two 26-meter-long passenger ships had been under construction since February 2023, in order to replace existing, but somewhat damaged, boats.

Carbon-free ships

Each year, the company welcomes more than 700,000 passengers to the Gulf of Morbihan. The two ships will carry 240 passengers per trip and will travel at speeds of up to 20 knots.

But the novelty that Frédéric Robard, owner of the company, welcomes, is to offer carbon-free ships, in order to protect the waters of the Gulf. Our boats are equipped with a new engine reducing nitrogen oxide emissions during races , indicates the captain. Thus, 80% of the escaped gases will be recycled.

After a blessing, the ships will be able to begin their journeys. THE Gwen Have You will depart from Vannes for the line passing through Port-Navalo, Houat and Hoëdic. THE Mor Braz will be assigned to La Turballe to go to Belle-Île-en-Mer.
