Seven workshops, sunshine and the desire, even behind the walls of the prison, to share around performances and sharing. Tuesday June 25, 2024, some eighty prisoners, in groups throughout the day, took advantage of a special day focused on the values of Olympism. An animation imagined as part of a call for projects carried out by the management of the prison administration.
A photo competition around movement
In the large courtyard dedicated to sports, one of the inmates runs on the synthetic athletics track. Further away, others try to score baskets. A quiz also keeps inmates busy. In a few minutes, some will begin a game of table tennis, a rowing distance, a blind course or a workshop on the benefits of sport. Sports instructor Rémi Giampietri makes sure everything goes well. And each sports educator (AAJBO, ASJ basketball, Ping concept, disabled sports committee, Ufolep committee, Cros, Fraps) ensures that their workshop runs smoothly. The inmates play the game, under a more than generous sun.
The project, carried out by the Prison Integration and Probation Service and made possible thanks to the support of the Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee (Cros 41), is one of the most significant of the year. Theater around boxing and rugby
Among the participating inmates, seven were equipped with digital cameras on Tuesday. Objective ? Take photos of movements which will result in a selection and, ultimately, a publication.
