A nuclear accident exercise will take place Thursday November 21 and Friday November 22 at the Belleville-sur- (Cher) power plant. On the Nièvre side, internal security forces and emergency services can be seen.

Thursday 21 and Friday 22 November will take place a nuclear and radiological accident exercise at the Belleville-sur-Loire (Cher) nuclear power plant.

This exercise aims to test the crisis organization that would be deployed by the public authorities and EDF in order to ensure the protection of the population in the event of an accident.

Internal security forces and emergency services could be seen on the ground and in particular the heavy vehicles of the Nuclear Rapid Action Force (FARN).

This exercise will not be restrictive for the inhabitants of Nièvre who will therefore be able to continue to move freely.

Some residents near the plant could receive an alert message on their phone via the Fr-Alert device with these terms “EXERCISE – EXERCISE – EXERCISE” and no reaction will be expected from residents.
