Cane Distribution
Non-medical cannabidiol (CBD) is authorized in France because it is not considered a narcotic or a psychotropic drug. It now has its place at the head of the gondola among tobacconists in various forms. A market on which the brothers Valentin and Aymeric Cane have capitalized by creating the company Cane distribution in February 2021.
A winning bet because three years later, their company is now installed in 1,600 m² of premises in the northern industrial zone of Limoges – after an investment of 1 million euros for the building and 500,000 euros for the machines using its own funds – employs 49 employees and achieves a turnover of 7.4 million euros, increasing by 30% each year. They have established themselves as the French leaders in this niche, with products which are mostly raw flower and hemp resin, but also concentrated oils, cosmetics, herbal teas and infusions. Not to mention products for tobacconists such as rolling papers and lighters, among others.
Their customers? 80% of tobacconists, numbering 5,000, and 20% of large and medium-sized stores, or 230. “We were ahead from the start,” recognizes Valentin Cane, and today we have twenty-four salespeople. across France and twenty-five people here for administration and logistics. »
If Cane distribution is visible among tobacconists with its CBD first brand, it produces white brands. “Service provider activity is the main guideline for 2025, to meet the growing demand from other market players. We make complete packs. We have in-house graphic designers and packaging machines! »
France
